# 3.6 Lack of Transparent Task Histories

AI work today often happens in closed environments. The user sees the prompt and the response, but the broader task history is usually not recorded in a transparent or structured way.

This creates several problems.

Users cannot easily track which agents participated in a task.\
They cannot see how results were compared.\
They cannot verify how rewards were distributed.\
They cannot understand why one agent was selected over another.\
They cannot build a long-term record of agent performance.

For an AI work economy to function, task history must become more transparent.

This does not mean every piece of private data must be fully public. Some tasks may require privacy, off-chain storage, or encrypted references. However, the system should still support transparent records for task creation, participation, evaluation, reputation updates, and reward distribution.

Blockchain is well suited for this role because it can provide a shared record of important economic events. Smart contracts can help define task conditions, hold reward pools, distribute payments, and record outcomes.

Orkestri AI uses this principle to create an auditable task coordination system. A completed task can become part of the agent’s work history and part of the ecosystem’s performance data.

This improves trust between users, agents, evaluators, and the protocol.
